ZMD predicts continued high temperatures

THE Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD) has disclosed that the country is expected to continue experiencing high temperatures over the next few weeks, with traces of rainfall in selected parts. ZMD senior forecast officer Anderson Mulambu revealed that currently, Mfuwe district had the highest temperatures averaging 41 degrees Celsius. Mulambu explained that the country may start experiencing steady rainfall by mid November, as per usual pattern.

“The current weather pattern is expected to continue, with traces of rains over the northern parts of the country, including the Copperbelt, Luapula, North Western and Western provinces,” said Mulambu.

Mongu has also been recording high temperatures of about 38 degrees Celsius.
