PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda's political advisor Akashambatwa Mbikusita Lewanika has said it is not in the President's primary interest to respond to Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata's attacks on his government.
In an interview last Saturday, Aka said the MMD government's primary concern was to remain focused on issues affecting the people.
"We have to stay focused. I don't think the President's primary interest is to respond to such issues," Aka said when asked what the President's stance was on the PF leader's criticism.
Aka said the government focused on dealing with the floods in Senanga as opposed to launching their campaigns in Western Province.
"Our issue in Senanga is to make sure that through the Vice-President's office, the people who are affected with the floods are relieved. We are making sure that we stay focused," said Aka.
