MMD Ndola district has lifted the suspension on its youth chairman Patrick Nyasulu following his letter of apology.

Ndola district vice-chairman Victor Chimuka said in an interview yesterday that Nyasulu was remorseful and deserved a second chance.

"We have lifted the youth chairman's suspension. He wrote a letter that he was remorseful and promised that if he had any problem with anyone in the party, he was not gong to rush to the press and this is what we want from our members," he said.

"As a party, we want to be united and if our brother is down, we need to lift them and we want our members to be able to talk and dialogue."

When contacted for a comment, Nyasulu expressed ignorance over the lifting of his suspension.

"I do not know anything about that. I only know that the district had a meeting but I did not know the agenda of the meeting. If they have lifted my suspension that is good, but I don't know anything," he said.

Nyasulu was suspended in October after he asked Copperbelt Provincial chairman Joseph Chilambwe to resign and explain where he took the K15 million that Vice-president George Kunda gave the party.
