PATRICK Mwanawasa says President Rupiah Banda hates his late father so much that he has continued to fight him even after his death. And George Mpombo says President Banda was admitting that he would lose in Kafulafuta.
HYpresident Levy Mwanawasa's oldest son, said President Banda was a very ungrateful person.
"President Rupiah Banda is a despicable leader who is ungrateful, and he must be ashamed of himself. My late father brought him from the doldrums of what was then a poverty-stricken farm in Chipata. His ungratefulness is now based on fighting my father even after he's dead," Patrick said.
"This is the man who denied the nation an inquest after the death of a Republican president but found it necessary to compromise the integrity of the judiciary by influencing decisions of criminal cases that are of national interest. Such is the hatred that this man has for my father, that he has killed the fight against corruption in exchange for poverty, poor working conditions, horrendous hospital conditions, premature births outside hospitals; and this is the same man who wants the people to vote for him."
Patrick said it was unfortunate that President Banda haboured so much hatred for him despite his clean campaigns.
"He's the man who leaves a stench of death wherever he goes. And this is so evident by the mass killings which have occurred across the country, be it by investors or by officers who act for him. So by him coming to decampaign me in my constituency, it just shows the amount of hatred which he has for me," said Patrick.
He said it also confirmed that President Banda hated the people because he was trying to frustrate efforts of bringing about dignity to the people of Zambia which has been denied by this MMD government.
"This is an evil man who must be ashamed of himself, and he's an evil man who must be escorted out of State House back to where he belongs, which is the dustbin of politics."
And Mpombo said President Banda was no longer a factor in Ndola rural.
The former defence minister and immediate past Kafulafuta MMD member of parliament dared President Banda to go and witness his downfall in the area.
"It's a futile attempt because Banda is irrelevant to Ndola rural, and the PF is very strong. It's a desperation by Banda, it may be an acknowledgement that Banda will not be surviving in Ndola rural. Patrick is very strong, so Banda is wasting his time. If Banda wants let him come and camp in Kafulafuta we will teach him a lesson," said Mpombo.
