WEBSTER Mulubisha says the Patriotic Front government is a government of serious men and women. Announcing his resignation as UPND chairperson for environment and natural resources and consequently from the opposition political party to join the Patriotic Front, Mulubisha, also a former permanent secretary in the Office of the Vice-President, said President Michael Sata appeared to be doing a very good job.

"I am going to PF. I am want to do something else and help the President who appears to be doing a very good job. I have seen this government is a serious government. So it's better for me to join them," said Mulubisha.

"Every well-meaning Zambian should be able to support this government. I waited to see how they were going to do things and I have seen this government has serious men and women, especially this President; he is forthright on corruption and other decisive decisions."

Mulubisha said he did not want to remain on the terraces wasting his time on things that were not going anywhere.

He also appealed to the PF to accept him and not think he was after their positions.

Mulubisha, who hails from Kaoma in Western Province, said the PF was not strong in the region and he wanted to help strengthen the party there.

"The party in the province is not as strong as it is in other areas; it needs rebuilding," said Mulubisha.
