PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda is in Rwanda to attend the inauguration of that country’s leader Lieutenant General Kagame Paul Kagame who was re-elected to office in the last general elections.
President Banda will also be part of the summit for heads of states that is expected to review progress made on the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
First republican president Dr. Kenneth Kaunda is also expected to witness Lieutenant General Kagame’s inauguration.
And on arrival in Kigali, the President’s delegation was received at the airport by Rwandan Prime Minister Bernard Mukuza, Zambian High Commissioner to Tanzania Darius Bubala.
President Banda is expected in the country tomorrow.
