The Post has invited all established media organisations in the country to collect copies of the video footage of information and broadcasting minister Vernon Mwaanga's interview with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) journalists after he met with Katanga Province governor Moses Katumbi on March 31, 2007.
Post news editor Webster Malido said all established media houses in the country were free to get a copy of the video this morning at the newspaper's Rhodes Park offices any time after 09:00 hours.
"We are releasing the video because we believe that the truth is so important that it should never be covered by lies," said Malido.
The Post has in today's edition reproduced a video transcript of the interview Mwaanga gave to DRC journalists where he confirmed that the Zambian government has nothing against Katanga Province Governor Moses Katumbi and that in fact it is Katumbi who had sued the Zambian government to recover the US$7 million owed to him for the supply of maize in 2001.
