THE Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) and the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) in Kapiri Mposhi have appealed to local government and housing minister Sylvia Masebo to quickly overhaul the entire district council management because they have failed to facilitate development.

In a statement signed by CCZ Kapiri Mposhi chairperson Reverend Chisanga and Bishop Kalyondo from EFZ, the duo stated that after listening to the views of the community of Kapiri, following Masebo's suspension of the council, they wished to congratulate her for taking a rightful decision. The duo stated that the church was in full support of this.
"Well done minister and keep the same spirit of fighting for the voiceless.

Further, we want to say thank you Honourable Minister for giving us local government administrator quickly. However, we are requesting the minister to facilitate the quick release of the youth empowerment fund and the constituency development fund," the statement read in part.

Masebo early this month suspended the Kapiri Mposhi council following some problems there.
