ZAMBIA’S High Commissioner to South Africa Leslie Mbula has advised Patriotic Front (PF) president Michael Sata not to talk too much and arouse his emotions to avoid affecting his health again. In an interview on Sunday in KwaZulu Natal Province, High Commissioner Mbula urged Sata to be sober.

“…Because of his condition, the man has to be sober and not talk too much and not to arouse emotions,” High Commissioner Mbula said. “But we need people like Mr Sata in Zambia because they provide that kind of thing that stimulates government into action because if there are no people like that government would relax.

So you need people to talk to the government when they see something is wrong but obviously as Zambians on the political platform, we can talk a lot but when we are not talking politics we must get together as Zambians, that is the only way we can develop.”

He said Zambians should not politicise everything they do.

“If we make politics as everything then we cannot develop because we cannot appreciate the good that is being done by those who are not on the same political tune,” he said.

High Commissioner Mbula said he was glad that Sata had recovered.

“We exceedingly value life. That is why we have wished him well and we are glad he has made tremendous progress. We praise the Lord for that and we are glad,” said High Commissioner Mbula.
