It has become extremely difficult for ordinary Zambians to own land. To acquire a plot in Kabwe, you need to be a councillor, council employee, party cadre, a prominent person or be known by any of these.
The system has disadvantaged other Zambians who have no plots at all. People have been paying a lot of money just for application forms, only to be disappointed. We demand equitable distribution of land to all Zambians.
Can the relevant authorities carry out investigations on how council workers and councillors have been allocated plots and if at all they paid for the application forms.
