PRESIDENT Levy Mwanawasa has reiterated Zambia’s commitment to the strengthening of existing ties at all levels with Denmark. In a statement released yesterday by chief analyst for press and public relations David Kombe, President Mwanawasa stated this in his congratulatory message to Queen Margarethe II of Denmark on the occasion of that country’s constitution day which fell on June 5, 2008.

“Zambia and Denmark share a special relationship based on strong bonds of co-operation that are traced back to Zambia’s post independence times,” he stated. “Denmark has been a consistent partner to Zambia’s development efforts and continues to assist Zambia in an area such as health, education and other economic development sectors, to which Zambian people are most grateful.”
