Mangani urges higher food production

LUSAKA Province minister Lameck Mangani has said food insecurity and low-income generation are some of the major challenges that hinder good social and economic wellbeing of most Zambians at household level. Opening the 14th Kafue District Agriculture and Commercial Show on Sunday, Mangani said farmers should therefore produce more food for them to increase income. Mangani said the economic base of the country relied on the amount of annual food production.

Acting Kafue District Commissioner, Henry Bowa commended the government for working towards improving the country’s economy through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) initiatives.
