STRONG Technologies chief executive officer Lloyd Ngoma yesterday urged fellow entrepreneurs to enter into partnerships that will help to reduce the cost of doing business. During the signing of a business agreement between Strong Technologies and Everise Electronics Limited, Ngoma said the current business environment in the country had necessitated the need for companies to complement each other.

"Basically this partnership is a result of growth and expansion in our operations but since we cannot be everywhere at once, hence this partnership with Everise so that they can be able to sell Strong products on our behalf at their various outlets around the country," Ngoma said.

"Instead of being at each others throats, as local entrepreneurs, we need to complement each other thereby reducing the cost of doing business since there will be sharing of resources."

And Everise director Richard Kutoha, said the partnership was an answer to governments' call for local economic empowerment.

"This development will result in creation of employment opportunities and also there will be an increase in taxes for the government," said Kutoha.

Strong Technologies is the first Zambian owned company to venture into satellite television through its My TV brand and it has 16 branches across the country while Everise Electronics is also a locally owned company with a physical presence in major towns.
