NATIONAL Democratic Focus (NDF) president Ben Mwila yesterday said he will contest the forth-coming presidential by-election. In an interview, Mwila said he rated his chances very high to win the election because all the political parties had equal opportunities of winning the presidency.
He said the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD), Patriotic Front (PF) and United Party for National Development (UPND) were not political heavyweights.
Mwila said NDF had been re-organising and mobilising in the last two months.
He said he had an elaborate programme to develop Zambia.
Mwila said the growth the nation was currently experiencing was not trickling down to the ordinary masses and that he would change this once elected.
He said Zambians should benefit from the country's wealth.
Mwila also said he would seek to unite the nation once elected because there was so much tension in the country.
Mwila said he would launch his campaigns after the burial of the late President Levy Mwanawasa who died last week in Paris, France.
