LUSAKA High Court judge Phillip Musonda yesterday set Friday as the day of hearing in the matter where Anti-Rigging Zambia Limited has asked him to declare that Rupiah Banda is no longer Vice-President and Acting President of Zambia following his filing of nomination papers for the office of Republican President.
This was after Attorney General Mumba Malila and the principal state advocate applied to be joined to the case in defence of government's interest.
Judge Musonda adjourned the matter to allow Malila to prepare himself since he was only served the documents yesterday.
Judge Musonda will on Friday also hear the case where Anti-Rigging Zambia Limited has asked him to issue an order directing the Electoral Commission of Zambia to register voters that have attained voting age since the 2006 elections.
