THE number of cholera cases recorded in Lusaka has now reached 64. Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr Canisius Banda said yesterday that the cases were from early October to date.
Dr Banda said out of the 64, only eight were still receiving treatment while 56 had been attended to and discharged.
He said seven were receiving treatment at Kanyama Clinic while one patient was at Chipata clinic.
Dr Banda said the cases came from Kanyama, Chipata, Chawama, George and Kalingalinga compounds.
He said so far, none had died and commended the health workers for ensuring that those that suffered from the disease were treated.
Dr Banda advised every citizen to observe hygiene so that people do not die from cholera.
