THE African Diaspora for Obama has invited Social Democratic Party president Gwendoline Kone to attend US President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration on January 20.
In a statement, Konnie stated that she received an invitation from Washington for President Obama’s inauguration from the African Diaspora for Obama, an African-American network that canvassed for his election as President and has tentative ideas to establish better connections with Africa.
“I would like to extend my invitation to those who might find it attractive to go and attend the inauguration for President Obama,” stated Kone.
“I have negotiated with British Airways for a ticket of US $1,300 which is for a group of 9 people. Should we be 20, it can come down further.”
