ROAN PF member of parliament Chishimba Kambwili has been arrested and charged him with conduct likely to cause the breach of peace.

Police sources said Kambwili was picked up after he tried to intercept members of the Lunda -Luvale Cultural Association who went to Mpatamato Township to get school buses in readiness for their demonstration against him, for allegedly speaking ill against the Luvale tribe.

Police sources confirmed the development yesterday and said Kambwili was picked up with three other PF members.

The sources said those picked up included, Patrick Maipambe, Christopher Mutale and

Charles Mulenga.

Kambwili appeared in court late in the afternoon and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Kambwili is still remanded in custody.

There is heavy presence of police officers in Luanshya following the arrest of Kambwili and three others.

Luanshya district commissioner George Kapu said Kambwili allegedly confiscated two min buses.

"They hired two min buses one from Twashuka, the other one I am not too sure," said Kapu.

"The Lunda -Luvale staged a peaceful demonstration and presented their petition to the Copperbelt provincial minister Mwansa Mbulakulima," said Kapu.

Recently during a PF demonstration in Kitwe, Kambwili said the people of Luanshya constituency had made a mistake to vote for Simon Kachimba who he said he was the only dull Luvale he had ever seen.

He said most of the Luvale people he had seen were clever than Kachimba.
