THE pursuit of the persons of Reserve Bank Governor Dr Gideo Gono and Attorney General Johannes Tomana has nothing to do with advancing peace and unity in Zimbabwe.

Are these persons blocking or resisting any proposed reforms meant to restore transparency, accountability and public confidence in our politics? Is it then worth our while to waste time on the issue of the persons of Dr Gono and AG Tomana whose influence the MDC-T at times boast of having curtailed?

It makes me wonder whether MDC-T still believes it will win the forthcoming elections. If they still do, shouldn't plugging any holes to make the forthcoming elections as free and fair as possible be the priority?

Is the hesitancy of the MDC-T party to publicly and officially call for the lifting of sanctions in the letter and spirit of the Global Political Agreement?
