Corruption fight is for all – Kayukwa

NEWLY appointed Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) director general Godfrey Kayukwa has said the fight against corruption should not be left to him alone. In an interview shortly after being sworn in by President Rupiah Banda at State House this morning, Kayukwa urged all Zambians to fight corruption in their own individual capacities.

“The challenge is with you the Zambians, the new (Anti-corruption) policy states that everybody has to fight corruption as individuals. So the challenge is not for me alone but for you as well who are affected,” he said.

Earlier, President Banda swore-in Kayukwa and agriculture ministry permanent secretary, Abednego Banda.

In his remarks, President Banda urged the new appointees to be focused on their duties and to protect the Constitution of Zambia.
