Currently, the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation is mining diamonds in Marange.

The Herald reports that an estimated US$9 million is required to fully exploit the Chiadzwa diamond fields.
The negotiations follow recommendations by the Kimberley Diamond Processing team that mining methods at Chiadzwa needed improving to fully exploit the vast potential of diamond mining in the country.
