PATRIOTIC Front (PF) president Michael Sata has charged that Vice-President George Kunda is emotionally excited with his position and thinks that another misfortune will befall the nation for him to succeed President Rupiah Banda.
And Vice-President Kunda has told the people in Serenje that Sata is an automatic lying machine.
Commenting on Vice-President Kunda's statement that he was a liar, Sata said it was Vice-President Kunda who was lying to the nation about President Banda's mission to South Africa and was following the President's footsteps because he also never told the truth about the late Levy Mwanawasa's condition in Paris.
"That boy, George Kunda is emotionally excited that he might succeed RB in an event that he falls sick just like the case was with his boss. He has not told the nation what RB was doing in South Africa," said Sata.
Vice-President Kunda said UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema was undergoing transformation making his eyes to turn red in an effort to outdo Sata in lying.
"Hakainde and Sata are competing in terms of hurling insults at the MMD leadership. Hichilema is trying to outdo Sata in insults and is now undergoing transformation. If you look at his eyes, they are turning red by trying to outdo Sata," Vice-President Kunda said.
He said there was confusion in the pact and intense fighting had since erupted as to who would be fielded as president and vice-president in 2011.
But Sata said it was Vice-President Kunda who was going through a revolution to please President Banda. He said Vice-President Kunda was an automated lies repeating machine who was taking after President Banda in insulting instead of addressing real issues.
Sata said Vice-President Kunda had neglected the people of Serenje by denying them a concrete explanation over the one million hectares of land sold to the Chinese on the Tuta Road.
Sata warned Vice-President Kunda against insulting Hichilema, saying neither himself nor Hichilema had a hand in their creation.
"Tell that boy George to go to hell with his white eyes that cannot see any underdevelopments in Serenje," Sata said. "George should not insult Hichilema. Who is a liar? He is a bigger liar who never answered the people's queries when he addressed a rally on the thousands of hectares he sold to the Chinese and the animals. To him, the people of Serenje don't matter. His President insulted me as having red eyes, and he has done the same by insulting my partner. To hell with his white eyes that cannot see the problems of the people of Chitambo and Serenje district as a whole. Hakainde and I did not manufacture ourselves. What kind of a leader is he who cannot even take Zanaco to his district when all the other districts, including Kapiri Mposhi which is the smallest, has Zanaco? He is not proud of where he comes from," said Sata. "Serenje has the highest number of community schools with only one secondary school when its equivalent district, Mpika, has eight high schools. Honestly, can't the white eyed man be ashamed of himself?"
Sata said there was need for Vice-President Kunda to desist from insults and concentrate on addressing critical issues like the water reticulation system that was terrible despite the presence of Lukanga Water Sewerage Company in the province.
Sata said that the issue of presidency was not the party's priority, stating that it was not Vice-President Kunda's business to worry about.
"Whoever becomes presidential candidate from the pact should not be Kunda's business. It is not our priority now. There are so many irregularities in this uncaring government for our minds to be preoccupied with the issue of presidency. Kunda should see the crack from his own party. There is no freedom in his party. His members are more at ease with me than himself or Banda," said Sata.
Addressing a rally to drum up support for MMD candidate Solomon Musonda at Chipundu Basic School on Sunday, Vice-President Kunda said the two opposition leaders were failures that relished on hurling insults at the MMD leadership.
He said that Hakainde and Sata were both campaigning to become president in 2011 despite forming a pact and wondered who between them would be the opposition presidential candidate.
