DEAR EDITOR - Thanks for covering the Copenhagen Climate Conference when every other Zimbabwean publication thinks it is not important. Here is my little contribution. Instead of tying help for developed countries to carbon emissions, it would be better to relate it to social justice.

Climate change may or may not be related to human activity. The goal of directly eliminating poverty, by ensuring everyone has access to the goods of the earth, is a more worthy international goal.

If the wealthy people of the world stopped trying to lead lives of ever growing luxury and instead paid citizens of developing countries to build infrastructure–like clean water sources–there would be a lot more equity in the world, and a better chance for peace.
