(TALKZIMBABWE) MDC-T corrupt to the core

MDC-T corrupt to the core

DEAR EDITOR - Does anyone recall President Mugabe's speech on the day he signed the Memorandum of Understanding or Global Political Agreement with Morgan Tsvangirai and Prof Arthur Mutambara in September 2008? "My time will come," said the most hated man by the regime change agents. Maybe it is too early to remind people what this statement meant.

According to MDC-T spokesman Nelson Chamisa there is no-one who is corrupt in the MDC-T and nobody ever breaks the law. All we hear about MDC-T members are fabrications and dirty tactics from Zanu PF.

Now we hear the same man telling the world that his party has appointed a team of investigators to probe all MDC-T run councils. What has happened?

I recall someone writing pointing out that MDC-T was nurturing a disease which will one day be difficult to cure. This corruption should have been nipped in the budd, way back, instead of defending law-breakers and accusing Zanu PF of trying to destroy that party.

Now the list of failures is endless: Chitungwiza Town Council, Kadoma Town Council and Redcliff Municipality, among other ailing council. Harare City Council has had its fair share of problems and the MDC-T Diaspora is in tatters. This is a very worrying development.

It is not only the issue of councils.

MDC-T MPs and other officials have been implicated in various scandals. MDC-T supporters ask, "Ko muZanu PF macho? (What about corruption in Zanu PF)." We have heard the MDC-T say that the Zanu PF party is finished. So they should never remind us of Zanu PF. They even told us that they are holy or "holier than thou".

These scandals are just a tip of the iceberg.

Many scandals are being suppressed for the sake of the survival of this boring and sickening GPA which is failing to raise the living standards of the ordinary person in the country. Corruption is an unfinished business in the GPA, not Roy Bennett, Governor Gideon Gono or Attorney General Johannes Tomana.

Can the MDC-T tell people what exactly is going on.
