PARAMOUNT chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people in Eastern Province Mpezeni has said the government has started grading the Mwami Road.
In an interview from his Iphendukeni palace, Mpezeni said the contracter started grading the road on Wednesday last week.
Earlier, Mpezeni complained over the bad state of the Mwami road, which leads to Mwami Adventist Hospital.
But some residents in Feni said grading the Mwami road was just a part-time measure.
“You know in 2008 this road was graded but look at it today, it’s bad. Let them put even a small tarmac like what we see here in Chipata although it’s costly,” one of the residents said.
