PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda yesterday reshuffled three Cabinet ministers and appointed Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) commissioner general Chriticles Mwansa as science and technology permanent secretary.
According to a media statement issued by special assistant to the President for press and public relations, Dickson Jere, President Banda made changes to government at Cabinet and permanent secretary levels.
“The President has transferred agriculture and cooperatives minister Peter Daka to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training where he will take over from Dr Brian Chituwo who has been moved to the Ministry of Local Government and Housing. Dr Eustarckio Kazonga, who was until the transfer Minister of Local Government and Housing has been transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives,” Jere stated.
“President Banda has also appointed Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) commissioner general Chriticles Mwansa as new permanent secretary in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training. The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Science Technology and Vocational Training Ms Sherry Thole has been transferred to the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services where she will take over from ambassador Tens Kapoma. The President said he will redeploy Ambassador Kapoma to another position within the public sector.”
Jere stated that all transfers and appointments were with immediate effect.
