(HERALD) MDC-T putting up a brave face

MDC-T putting up a brave face

EDITOR — After convincing himself that chances were above 50 percent that elections were coming, MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai pressed his panic button.

Tsvangirai had never thought that elections were coming as he was in the Mercedes-Benz mode of relaxing and drunk with GNU power. The whole bunch of MDC-T Cabinet ministers are now quaking in their boots as they now ponder life after this “creature” called inclusive Government.

They know very well that their party will not win the elections as the days of Western-created political parties winning polls in Africa are gone.

They can only win in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tsvangirai is now going about putting on a brave face to his supporters that President Mugabe cannot declare the elections without consulting him and that he will use his “powers” to make sure international peacekeepers are here before the polls.

My MDC-T friend admitted quite frankly to me that his party would be lucky to survive as an opposition this time around as it faced total oblivion under Tsvangirai unless some figure took over.

The other issue that has miffed MDC-T supporters is the party’s relationship with the West.

Some MDC-T supporters now see the light to the extent of being embarrassed to publicly acknowledge membership of the party.

Zimbabwean history will never allow the future to be bequeathed to sell-outs.
Can you imagine Roy Bennet or Ian Kay telling supporters that land is for indigenous black people.

Instead, they would be chasing away all black farmers to make way for those whites in Australia, Britain and South Africa.

This is not propaganda. Unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast.

Tsvangirai is just putting up a brave face to his supporters for he knows fully well that the game is up.
