THE case in which Dr Solomon Musonda is charged with causing grievous harm with intent to disfigure commences today in the Kabwe High Court.
Dr Musonda, the former health deputy minister and Chitambo MMD parliamentarian, is charged with one count of causing grievous harm with intent to maim, disfigure or disable contrary to section 244 (a) of the Penal Code.
It is alleged that Dr Musonda on June 1, 2010 caused grievous harm to Jackson Musaka, a PF cadre.
Dr Musonda, who is being represented by Sunday Nkonde, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Recently, when the matter came up for plea, prosecutor Bako Chipola said the state was determined to conclude the case within the course of the Kabwe High Court criminal session.
