YOUTHS should demand a better government that will address their challenges, according to a parliamentarian. In an interview, Roan PF parliamentarian Chishimba Kambwili said it was time youths woke up and played their role in issues of governance. Kambwili, who is also PF national youth chairman, said the youths were capable of bringing change in the country.
“Most youths have been very docile on issues of governance. It is unfortunate that there are very few of them youths that have taken interest,” Kambwili said. “If youths do not get involved in the governance of this country, then no one will take care of their interests. They should fight for what is theirs.”
He said the youths had the power to remove any government from power through the ballot.
“We are not saying they should belong to any political party but they should just vote to change the scenario of the country,” he said.
Kambwili said the best thing for any government was to provide quality education for its youths, which the MMD had failed to do going by the large number of people who were unable to access tertiary education.
