POLICE have launched a manhunt for the criminals who murdered Centenary farmer Mr Colin Zeuitsman in the early hours of Friday.

Mr Zeuitsman (53) was murdered by two assailants who pounced on his Somaphiri Farm.
Mashonaland Central provincial police spokesperson Inspector Memory Pamire said the murder was being treated purely as a criminal case.

She said the culprits would be brought to book.
“It was a gruesome murder and we are treating it as criminal because they demanded cash.

“We condemn such violent crimes and are doing our best to bring the suspects to book,” she said.
Insp Pamire said the criminals, who were armed, forcibly entered the farmer’s two-storey house.
“The deceased was sleeping when the suspects used a makeshift ladder to gain access to the upstairs bedroom window.

“They struck him with a sharp object in the right eye while he was fast asleep.
“They force-marched his wife downstairs to a safe where they believed the couple kept cash.”

She said they brutally attacked Mrs Zeuitsman upon finding the safe empty.

“Mrs Zeuitsman managed to call out to her farm workers for help, but the suspects had already fled.”-The Sunday Mail
