(NEWZIMBABWE) MDC-T fingers Zanu PF in catapult raid on HQ

COMMENT - This sounds like pure propaganda, especially in the run-up of next year's elections. The MDC do not care at all about democracy, they just want to get their hands on the reigns of power. There is no reason to 'experiment' with neoliberalism again, it has been tried before (ESAP from 1991-1996). The result is always the same, greater inequality, more exploitation, and more poverty for the majority. That is why they wanted to get to power by destroying the Zimbabwean currency. That is why Tendi Biti is impoverishing the Zimbabwean farmers by not releasing funds to the Grain Marketing Board so they can get paid. The MDC is a scourge, they are not democrats.

THE MDC-T party said Thursday that its headquarters in Harare had come under attack overnight from “Zanu PF thugs” armed with CATAPULTS. The raid, said to have taken place around 3AM, left several windows at its Harvest House head office shattered.

In a statement, the party added: “Alert MDC security personnel manning the building for the night managed to confront the thugs but the hooligans escaped.
“The security personnel recovered eight catapults that were dropped by the Zanu PF hoodlums as they fled.”

The MDC-T provided no further evidence linking Zanu PF to the attack on its offices on Nelson Mandela Avenue.

Zanu PF spokesman Rugare Gumbo told New Zimbabwe.com last night the MDC-T claims were “unbelievable”.

“I find it unbelievable, it’s craziness. I don’t think our youths would do that, this sounds more like an internal MDC-T struggle. They want to find issues, there are no issues to discuss except talk of violence or Zanu PF attacking them.”
