SOUTHERN Province PF women's chairperson Ann Nyirenda Tischer says her party is aiming to dismantle UPND's dominance in Southern Province.

In an interview, Tischer said the Patriotic Front would not take the forthcoming Livingstone by-election lightly but would re-engage the electorate to vote for the PF for easier administration and governance.

"We shall go flat out and campaign as we did while in the opposition for our candidate Joseph Akafumba and give the PF government its first seat in Southern Province. When we are done with this, we shall make sure we begin the process of dismantling the yoke of UPND in the province so that the area can be at peace, not being in perpetual opposition," she said.

She also urged women and youths to be patient with the PF over election promises made to them.

Tischer said women would be more dignified under the leadership of President Michael Sata because he had a heart for the poor.

"We know that it is virtually impossible to employ every person in Zambia, but one thing is for sure that with the leadership of a father and grandfather like President Sata, we shall be more dignified as women in Zambia," Tischer said.

She added that Zambians would soon see the benefits of having voted for the PF into government.
