(HERALD) MDC-T youths embrace indigenisation

COMMENT - I have always said that the MDC was not exempt from either receiving land or participating in the indigenisation program. The elite capture and 'ZANU-PF only' lies are just that - lies. So why does the MDC need to lie? Because they are a neoliberal 'regime change' party based on lies and deception.

MDC-T youths ditched their party’s anti-indigenisation mandate after they applied for indigenisation funds which they now wait for to start their projects. MDC-T youth assembly secretary-general Promise Mkwananzi confirmed that youths in his party have submitted all the required documentation to the Youth Development, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment offices and now wait for the funds. Mr Mkwananzi also said they were following all steps required as they wanted to benefit from the policy.

“After submitting the papers, youths in my party were asked to organise themselves into groups. They did that and are now waiting for the funds to start their projects,” said Mr Mkwananzi. Mr Mkwananzi said the indigenisation policy is meant to benefit every Zimbabwean, hence they need to participate in it.

“Every youth in the country is entitled to benefit from the programme despite their political affiliation,” he said.

Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere confirmed that MDC-T youths applied for indigenisation funds, and their papers were being processed.

He said this shows that the truth is now coming out since they used to attack the policy.

“Yes, the MDC-T youths applied for the funds and it shows that they are now seeing the light of the policy,” said Minister Kasukuwere.

He said youths must work together and speak with one voice for the development of the nation.
