DR Kenneth David Kaunda has been chosen to receive the African Icon Award. Dr Kaunda will be recognised in the 2012 Voice Achievers Awards, to be held in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, for being a Pan-Africanist, icon of democracy in Africa as well as a forthright leader still alive today.
According to the organisers - The Voice - Dr Kaunda will receive the award on November 16 because of his continued promotion of sustainable development and peace on the continent and his continued fatherly role in the advancement of the African continent.
