Chishimba is senseless, charges Sata

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) president Michael Sata yesterday said Kasama Central PF member of parliament Saviour Chishimba has no principles. Commenting on Chishimba’s statement that President Mwanawasa was appointed by God and those disrespecting him were disobeying the Lord, Sata said the public would judge how unprincipled Chishimba was.

Sata said Chishimba was a shameless person who joined politics to amass wealth. He said Chishimba was glorifying President Mawanawasa because he knew that he was a liability in PF.
Sata warned President Mwanawasa against accommodating politicians like Chishimba whom he described as petty and senseless.

“When Chishimba was working for Chainama Hills Hospital, he never saw the K2.3 million plus extra money he gets from Levy Mwanawasa. Because of that, he is now putting on a fake chitenge material imitating the late Simon Kapwepwe.

But Chishimba is being foolish because Kapwepwe was a principled person,” Sata said. "Since Mwanawasa opened Parliament, have you heard any MP condeming this (Zesco) power cut? All we have heard is glorifying Mwanawasa and so on and so forth because some people like Chishimba have never seen a million before. So when they get such big money, it goes to their heads and make them mad."

He said Chishimba would destroy President Mwanawasa and the entire MMD political standing if they continued to accommodate praises from him. Sata said Chishimba had insulted Zambians, most of whom were suffering at the expense of President Mwanawasa’s poor administration.

“If God can punish the Zambian people for calling Levy and his administration incompetent, then that god is crazy. God does not take pride in seeing His people suffering, in seeing His people drowning in floods without government help, in seeing people’s wealth being plundered by Levy’s thieves.

When I say these people are mercenaries, Zambians have doubted me. Now let them judge why these people should not carry the name of honourable," Sata said. "Chishimba is in politics to make money, he is in politics to become fat, waxing in fat like Chinese pigs because a Chinese pig in two weeks time is 300 kilograms like a hippo."

He said it was a shame that the same President Mwanawasa Chishimba attacked earlier and called all sorts of corrupt names, was now being praised by the same person.
