TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TIZ) executive director Goodwell Lungu has said the loss of political leaders should be moments of reflection.
In a message of condolences to President Rupiah Banda over the death of local government minister Benny Tetamashimba, Lungu said people should be appreciated in the way they served others when they were alive.
“The loss of our political and community leaders should be moments of reflection and appreciation of the contributions that they have made to national development. In his own special way, Hon Tetamashimba served the people of Zambia in various capacities and deserves our respect and commendation,” said Lungu.
Tetamashimba who died at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka on September 5 after a long battle with cancer of the stomach, was buried in Solwezi on Wednesday.
