THE Movement for Democratic Change party led by PM Morgan Tsvangirai has, for the third week in a row, boycotted Cabinet’s weekly meeting. According to a communique from the MDC-T party, "nothing has changed" to warrant "re-engagement" with other partners in the inclusive Government.

President Robert Mugabe and Tsvangirai, formed an inclusive Government in February following inconclusive elections last year.

The MDC three weeks "disengaged" itself from the inclusive Government in protest against the indictment of Roy Bennett, a former white farmer and that party's financier and treasurer.

MDC-T appointed ministers convened a separate meeting at Harvest House, the party’s headquarters in central Harare instead of attending the full Cabinet meeting held every Tuesday at Munhumutapa Building.

President Mugabe's spokesman for has called PM Tsvangirai's party's "disengagement" from the inclusive Government "needless excitement".

"The MDC-T has disengaged from nothing," George Charamba said at the time of the MDC-T boycott.

"It's sound and fury signifying nothing. The MDC-T president knows that. It's a poor protest.
