THE National Youth League (NYL) is angered by UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema’s statement that President Rupiah Banda has a small brain. NYL publicity secretary Godfrey Chilolo yesterday said Hichilema was a young man desperate to be president of Zambia.

“But it is unfortunate that he believes insults would help him,” he said.
Chilolo said the youths were extremely happy with the economic programme which President Banda had embarked upon on in the last 16 months he has been in power.

“We are very sure that President Rupiah Banda will win by at least 75 per cent in the 2011 general elections,” said Chilolo.

And Kabwata MMD constituency chairman Daniel Tembo stated that the ‘audit report’ on PF councils should be handed over to the Anti-Corruption Commission and police for action.

Tembo claimed that some PF leaders in local government and in parliament had become rich and most contracts in the constituencies are reportedly being given to small companies who were failing to carry out works and were actually PF operations.

Tembo described the PF leadership as industrial noisemakers.
