ANC Youth League president Julius Malema said he was not responsible for the death of Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) leader Eugene Terre Blanche, the SABC reported. Speaking from Zimbabwe, Malema also called for investigations into the murder in order to bring the culprits to book.
"We know who Terre Blanche was and we know how he related with his workers. "Police must investigate, they must look for the person who killed Terre Blanche. We have nothing to do with his death," said Malema.
He vowed to continue singing the struggle song containing the words ‘Kill the Boer' that some political parties and human rights organisations have linked to the murder of Terre Blanche.
He said he began singing the song when he was nine-years-old.
Malema was visiting Zimbabwe on what he called a fact finding mission on nationalisation and land reform when the murder happened.
Terre Blanche was murdered on Saturday after an alleged labour dispute with two of his farmworkers. The two, aged 15 and 21, were arrested and charged with the killing and would appear in court on Tuesday.- Sundaytimes.co.za
