Zambians must benefit from foreign investment - Milner

ZAMBIANS must benefit from the investment that Western and Eastern nations are deriving from the country, says a veteran politician. In an interview, Aaron Milner appealed to the Zambian leaders to take the bull by the horn.

“We have massive resources in whatever form: copper, diamonds, uranium, platinum, oil and all that. Let us utilize God’s gift that the Western and Eastern nations are taking from Zambia, the inputs must be for the uplifting of all Zambians,” Milner said.

Milner said there was need to Africanise the development of the country.

He said looking at the land issue in Zimbabwe, mistakes were made but they would be rectified.

“But the question of the land is for the people of Africa, what we are doing in Zambia is that massive investment is coming from outside at the detriment of our people. Let us push these investments and bring our people as partnerships, they too can benefit,” said Milner.
