BDAVIS Kapijimpanga says he is disappointed with President Rupiah Banda’s move to launch Trident Mine without due consent of the people in the area and approval of the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA).
In an interview, Kapiji-mpanga who hails from the Kapijimpanga Royal Establishment of North Western Province, said that he was disappointed with President Banda’s governments’ decision to go ahead and sanction the multi-billion dollar mining project owned by First Quantum Minerals, a company once rejected by the Democratic Republic of Congo government for evading tax, without concluding talks with the relevant stakeholders.
