DR Kenneth Kaunda says he is confident that Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito, Attorney General Mumba Malila and Solicitor General Musa Mwenye make a well-suited team to vigorously fight corruption.
In an interview on Sunday, Dr Kaunda urged Zambians to renew their energies in the fight against corruption this year.
"Happy New Year, but fighting corruption is a central issue in today's Zambia. I am very happy with those appointments, very happy indeed and I am sure those boys will do a good job." "Happy New Year, but the struggle continues," said Dr Kaunda.
Mwenye was sworn in as Solicitor General on Thursday following his appointment by President Michael Sata and subsequent overwhelming approval by Parliament.
Nchito is yet to be sworn in.
President Sata has highly praised his appointment of the trio as the most ‘formidable and deadly' team to handle corruption in the country.
