PF knows what it's doing, says Chitala

Dr Mbita Chitala says Lameck Mangani, Sylvia Masebo and Patrick Mwanawasa are in the same situation as Mike Mulongoti. And Lameck Mangani yesterday said that President Sata now had a wider family to look at as compared to the time when he was in the opposition.

Reacting to Mulongoti who on Thursday expressed his disappointment with President Michael Sata for not having met him since winning the September 2011 elections, Dr Chitala who is Zambia Research Foundation director however said that they all had one story or another to tell.

"It is not for me to answer about their personal feelings. It is society to answer that one. They are the ones I was able to persuade and those who we helped, they (PF) know what they are doing. Mangani, Sylvia Masebo and Patrick Mwanawasa are all in the same situation. They came from MMD at the last moment. They all have one story or another to tell. I am sure the people who saw those work and whatever they did they (PF) know what they are doing but it is always good and clever politics to be inclusive," he said.

Dr Chitala however said it was not for him to answer about other people's feelings.

And Mangani said that President Sata had his challenges in rewarding everyone at the same time which some people could not understand.

"On those issues, I wouldn't make a quick comment because I have the privilege to meet with Mr Sata. I know his problems and challenges so it will be very unfair for me to comment on some of the issues that we discuss in the bedroom," he said.

"But they have a democratic right to say what they are saying. The President is the father of all the children so if one child is complaining, it is the responsibility of the father to examine the type of complaint that is coming out. You cannot stop children from complaining. It's up to the father to find a solution to address these complaints."

Mike Mulongoti in an interview on Thursdaysaid that he was disappointed that President Sata has never met him since winning elections.

Mulongoti had campaigned heavily for the PF after being expelled from the MMD.
