Editor,
There is no escaping the fact that the current ZNS training facilities will not be able to accommodate the population of school leavers that we produce annually.
Therefore, in the government's quest to re-introduce ZNS entrepreneurial trainings, it would be prudent if they start by expanding the already existing skills training centres, for instance, in Ndola we Mushili Skills Training Centre which has vast idle land in the vicinity.
If we consider expanding this centre, it has the potential to accommodate more than 1,000 school leavers. In doing so, congestion in ZNS training centres will be minimised; thereby improving on teacher-student ratio. It is a fact that lower teacher-to-student ratio improves learning.
Moses Twabo,
Ndola
