PRESIDENT Michael Sata has ordered the immediate construction of King Lewanika University and a modern stadium in Western Province. And President Sata has created six more districts as part of the realignment process.

Speaking after swearing-in Trevor Kaunda and Lemmy Kajoba as labour permanent secretary and Muchinga Province police commissioner respectively, President Sata said he did not want to be reminded about the campaign promises he made last year.

"Mr Fackson Shamenda, tell Mr Chishimba Kambwili there're two things I want in Western Province. I want a stadium almost immediately, and I want King Lewanika University at Namushakende," said President Sata.
He ordered Shamenda who is labour minister to convey the message to Kambwili who is sports minister.

"I promised the people when I was campaigning and I don't want to be reminded. At Namushakende, whether they'll be teaching in Lozi it doesn't matter."

And President Sata said he was realigning districts in order to simplify the governance process.

"And the districts which we are realigning, we start with Western Province. Sikongo becomes a district, then Nalolo becomes a district, Sioma becomes a district, Mitete becomes a district, Lwampa becomes a district and Manyinga in North Western Province," he said.

And after swearing in Kaunda, President Sata disclosed that management at Zambezi Portland Cement in Ndola was planning not to pay its workers so that they protest against the government.

Last week, home affairs minister Edgar Lungu said two Zambezi Portland Cement directors, Valerio Ventriglia and Danielle Ventriglia, were removed from Zambia because they were staying in the country illegally.

"Mr Kaunda you have to be slightly more sharper than you are at the moment. You have to be as sharp as your minister because already the Italians are planning at Zambezi Portland Cement in Ndola not to pay our people so that people can protest. You have to help your minister because labour is very porous in this country," said President Sata.
