Lubinda's suspension over - PF

KABWATA member of parliament Given Lubinda's suspension from the PF is over. PF secretary general Wynter Kabimba confirmed the development, saying Lubinda was free to interact with the party as a member of parliament.

"The suspension is over. He can interact with the party as a member of parliament," said Kabimba. Lubinda's phone was not reachable.

In March this year, the PF suspended Lubinda from the party for six months after being found guilty of treachery and disloyalty to the PF.
He was accused of betraying other ministers by passing information to opposition members of parliament.

This was after the PF's central committee unanimously resolved to have Lubinda suspended from the party.

The suspension was however back dated to December 10, 2012.
During the period of the suspension, the Kabwata member of parliament was not allowed to attend any party activities.

Prior to the suspension, Lubinda was demoted as Foreign Affairs Minister and relegated to the backbench in Parliament.
