CHIEF Kaduku of Mozambique has hailed Zambia for rendering good medical services to his people.

In an interview at Nyanje village in Sinda district on Monday, chief Kaduku said his area would have lost many lives had it not been for Zambian health services.

He thanked chieftainess Nyanje of the Nsenga people in Sinda for allowing Mozambicans to have access to health services at the RCZ-run Nyanje hospital and also allowing them to grind their maize in Zambia.

Chief Kaduku further expressed happiness with the Ministry of Health through Nyanje and St Francis hospitals for attending to his people.
Chief Kaduku said he had never received any report of his people being mistreated in Zambia.

He said it was unfortunate that previously, some Zambians were being harassed by some Mozambicans and this instilled fear in Zambians to even do business in the neighbouring country.

He also assured Zambians to be free to visit Mozambique to conduct business.

Chief Kaduku said Mozambicans were learning a lot of through from Zambian radio stations.

"Ma radio station ya mu Zambia monga Mphangwe ya pa Katete, Maria ndi Breeze ya ku Chipata ya tithandiza kwambiri pa maluso ndi kumanga mabanja ya anthu (Zambian radio stations like Mphangwe in Katete, Maria and Breeze in Chipata have helped on various matters like skills and bringing families together)," he said.

Chief Kaduku called for continued cooperation between Zambia and his country.
