Steven Lungu aka Captain Solo (above) is today expected to meet Frederick Chiluba. Former president Chiluba will meet Captain Solo at his residence at 11:00 hours.
This follows a request by Captain Solo to meet Chiluba to apologise for his attempt to overthrow the government in 1997.
Home affairs minister Mkondo Lungu last week announced the release of Captain Solo, whose death sentence was commuted to 20 years imprisonment.
Captain Solo, Jack Chiti and several other soldiers staged a coup to topple then president Chiluba from power but it was thwarted in less than three hours.
